Put Contact Information to Work
Call your contacts with the PocketKnife Dialer [Learn
more]
If you have a modem, you can use PocketKnife to dial a call
to a contact. The PocketKnife Dialer works in a similar manner to the
Outlook dialer, but with additional conveniences.
The Smart Letter Wizard [Learn
more]
Among other things, the Smart Letter Wizard will:
- Address your letter (using your choice of Business, Home
or Other address),
- Fill in special mailing instructions,
- Look up your cc’s and bcc’s,
- Prepare fax cover sheets (a separate one for bcc’s), and
- Address envelopes—not only to your contact, but also to the cc’s and
bcc’s.
Hotkeys
User configurable hotkeys take you immediately to the most
common Outlook folders: such as Inbox, Calendar, and Contacts. You can also
assign hotkeys to start a new mail message, add a new appointment, add a
contact, create a new task, make a new journal entry, and make a new note.
Because PocketKnife runs in the system tray, the hotkeys are available
from any application, including Outlook itself. You assign your own hotkeys,
and you can use the Win key alone or in combination with other shift
keys to create the hotkey.
The hotkey for Word brings up a menu of all your open Word documents.
With Word 2000’s single document interface, it is much easier to switch to
an open document from the PocketKnife menu than from the task bar.
Can’t remember all those hotkeys? PocketKnife will write a report with
all your choices. Or use our PocketLaunch
module.
